HISTORY
Oils4Cure was created in 2017 in response to the need to have a legal entity to obtain the necessary permits for the cultivation and production of cannabis for the development of two clinical trials.
In 2016, several families affected by Tuberous Sclerosis and other pathologies with difficult-to-control epilepsy contacted the Oils4cure team, as they had tried medical cannabis to treat their children’s epilepsy, with very good results.
The problem was that medical cannabis was not authorised in Spain and it was very difficult to obtain, so the families could not administer it to their children continuously and safely. They asked Oils4cure for help to try to obtain a cannabis extract for their children legally, and with the guarantees of safety and efficacy of medicines.
It was from this request from the affected families that the Oils4cure team decided to embark on the long and hard road to the development of clinical trials with cannabis extracts, aimed at treating different symptoms of their pathologies, as well as those of other rare diseases, due to the potential of these extracts.
In order to be able to carry out these clinical trials, Oils4cure had to develop the medicines, for which they had to cultivate the necessary plant material, develop a manufacturing process from start to finish, guaranteeing the stability and safety of the drug under investigation (R&D process), and obtain a full-spectrum extract with all the plant’s compounds.
Oils4cure initiated the relevant procedures with the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) to be able to carry out these trials.

- The development of the corporate social area through the creation of the Oils4cure Foundation, from where it will be possible to build sheltered housing and provide medical assistance to patients d their families.
VISION
The use of medical cannabis is set to have a major impact on the pharmaceutical sector in the coming years, thanks to the beneficial characteristics of its main active ingredients CBD/THC.
There is a global trend towards more natural and less processed products. This trend can reach the pharmaceutical sector thanks to new production methods, and in our case, our unique extraction process, which allows us to develop natural plant-based medicines and process them in a way that preserves all the therapeutic properties of the product, and to produce them according to the standards of the international pharmacopoeia in terms of homogeneity and stability.
